Asset Lifecycle
How much has it run, and how much life is left? — usage meters and their readings (service-meter hours, kilometres, run hours) with governed corrections, life models for components, each component's life counted on the asset it is fitted to, remaining-life forecasts, and deratings.
Its central question:
How many hours had that transmission done when it failed — and which fitted units are close to the end of their life?
It is a member of the Work & Supply network. When the Asset Register reports a component fitted, removed or rebuilt, Lifecycle starts or ends its life span on the unit's meters (the life model is found from the unit's maintenance group and the component's SMCS), so a unit's hours follow it through every truck it has been in and restart at each rebuild. Everyone else asks Lifecycle for usage at a date. Warranty (R11.3) asks it for a failed component's exposure.
